Cement is the most significant component in concrete. Large scale manufacturing of cement consumes more energy and release harmful products (Carbon dioxide) into the atmosphere that adversely affect the environment and depletes the natural resources. A lot of research is going on in globally concentrating on the recycling and reuse of waste materials from many industries.
In contrast, the improvement in properties of concrete like compressive strength from 36.6 to 42.9 N/mm2, splitting tensile strength from 3.8 to 7.9 N/mm2 and flexural strength from 4.9 to 8.3 N/mm2 at 28 days was observed with increase in alccofine dosage.
This paper presents the effects of using Fly Ash (class F) and Alccofine materials on performance of high-strength concrete with M60 grade of IS cube specimen. Fly ash replacement varies from 26% to 18% and Alccofine replacement varies from 4% to 12%. We are using Poly Carboxylate Ether based superplasticizer for achieving workability of concrete.

This investigation is focused on the physical and mechanical properties of Alccofine (AF) incorporating silica fume (SF) on M20 grade concrete. Normally, these industrial wastes (SF) are disposed off in landfill. The use of these industrial waste in concrete could reduce waste in the environment as well helps the environment against pollution as it is known that one ton of cement manufacture ...
Among the nine different combination the maximum compressive strength of concrete is achieved by using AL10% and GGBS 30% is 38.08 N/mm 2. C60A10G30 is 28.76% higher than the control mix. Result shows that concrete incorporating alccofine and GGBS have higher compressive strength and alccofine enhanced the durability of concrete also.
Concrete mixes with the accelerator (i.e. M2, M3 and M4) showed a decrease in the percentage of water absorption values with respect to reference concrete (M1) due to the formation of ettringite at early ages along with alccofine fills the voids between the particles and thus, decreases the permeable voids in the cubes as shown in Fig. 5.

From Fig. 4, it can be obtained that fly ash based concrete had huge water absorption values than that of alccofine-fly ash based concrete. The mixes with constant fly ash quantity and varying dosage of alccofine i.e. Mix 2, Mix 3, Mix 4 and Mix 5 showed a decrease in water absorption percentage values of 2.25 mm, 1.76 mm, 1.51 mm and 1.37 mm ...
